PhD Søren Klitgaard at the University of North Texas
October 2006-May2007
 
PhD student Søren Klitggard has been spending 6 month at the "The University of North Texas Health Science Center", one ofUSA distinguished graduate academic institutions, dedicated to education, research, patient care and service.
 
Søren Klitgaard has been working in the lab of our collaborators, Prof. Zygmunt Gryczynski and Prof. Ignacy Gryczynski.
 
 Dr. Zygmunt Gryczynski is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Immunology with a secondary appointment in the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics in UNTHSC. His research interest is in fluorescence and bionanotechnology. His role is to coordinate the overall activity of CCFT.

Dr. Ignacy Gryczynski is a Professor is a Professor and Director of Microscopy Core Facility in the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics with a secondary appointment in the Department of Molecular Biology and Immunology in UNTHSC. His research interest is in cellular and molecular fluorescence and time-resolved spectroscopy. His role is to design and oversee the spectroscopy laboratories.
  
Søren has been quite productive while abroad. Research wise he has accomplished the publication of his results while at UNT, in an internationally refereed journal.

PhD Søren Klitgaard at the University of Lund
2005
Søren Klitggard has spent time during his PhD at the Lund Laser Center, at the University of Lund, in 2005. This center is a key center of the a European Major Research Infrastructure. LLC is part of LASERLAB-EUROPE. Søren has carried out Flash Photolyses research in order ot gain insight into the reaction mechanism trigger by UV light on biomolecules. He carried out his work under the supervision ofProf. Villy Sundström, Prof. Steffen Petersen and Associate Professor Teresa NevesPetersen
 
 
 
Søren Klitgaard at the Technical University of Lisbon
2003
In 2003, Søren Klitggard carry on part of this Master Thesis work at the Tecnical University of Lisbon, under the supervision of Prof. Joaquim Cabral (see link), Prof. Steffen Petersen and Associate Professor Teresa NevesPetersen. After his master, he was granted a PhD grant from Aalborg University.
