International Summer School
August 6th – 14th 2007
Sensing and manipulating at the frontier of optics: from the meso- to the nanoscale

The Summer school 'Sensing and manipulating at the frontier of optics: from the meso- to the nanoscale' is held at Alsion from 6.-14.8.2007, organized by H.-G. Rubahn and J. Kjelstrup-Hansen.
Thirteen lecturers from Denmark, Germany, Russia, Italy and Poland will cover topics ranging from fundamentals of nano- and microoptics via characterization methods of the optical interface to advanced new sensors. The school is part of the educational program of the Ph.D. school 'Mesoscopic structures, dynamics and optics' and co-organized within the European Doctorate in Physics, Chemistry of Advanced Materials, which samples Universities from seven European Countries. Accordingly, an international audience of students is expected to attend the school.
